It is rare to find a good acting class and it is even more rare to find a great one, so I must've been exceptionally lucky when I found Studio A. Waymon and Jake offer a unique and valuable perspective which attend not only to the skills actors need to develop as part of their craft, but also the practical skills they need to make it in the industry. I would absolutely recommend this class to anyone! It was the perfect combination for actors, directors or anyone that wants & needs to get more experienced on camera. I enjoyed Studio A Acting class so much when I moved to LA, I am enrolling in the same class again. I’ve done my research & fair share of other acting classes, you get so much out of this particular studio from ACTUAL on camera work & a short film at the end of the class! Love working with Jake & Waymon they are fun, REAL experience guys & don’t sugar coat it type of feedback which is much more valuable for me to grow as an actor.

Many acting classes focus solely on acting as an art form, Studio A Acting focuses on the technical skills you will need on set: hitting your mark, volume control when mic’ed, eye line, on camera scene readings, and branding. All culminating in a final day on set shooting a short with a group of your peers that has been written just for you.

I've never written a review before but this acting studio deserves it. Waymon and Jake are both so nice and truly care about their students. They make the class fun and they're hilarious. I feel like my acting really improved from practicing many skits and I learned extremely useful tips and advice each class.

Two jedi Masters of acting. Waymon Boone and Jake Tapper are of the old school. They tell you how it is with no B.S. great guys and things you learn coming out of this class will make you a damn Jedi.

This place is incredible. Waymon and Jake definitely know their crafts! You will not find a better class around, especially at what they charge. Affordable and an amazing experience! Take the class!

An amazing 8 weeks well spent. Not only did this class give me REAL skills and methods to use on set, I left with an amazing looking scene for my reel that shows off my abilities as an actor. Trust in Waymon Boone, he’ll shape you into a more attentive and responsive performer.

This class is great, very budget friendly but faaar better than any other class I've taken or looked at. The teacher is very thorough and in-depth, LISTEN TO HIM. He's a director, he knows his stuff. Scene every week, smaller size classes so everyone has time to really get feedback and re work the scene. PLUS, you do get a pro-grade scene filmed for your reel at the end of the 8 weeks!

Amazing class that shows you how life on set really is and trains you to be prepared! Also, you get the added bonus of working on a film with an actual director.

I enjoy the classes. I like that I am being taught by a working director(Waymon) and a working actor(Jake). The classes has people with different levels and life experiences. We learn how to take direction, audition, scene study etc.. As a newcomer I enjoy the nurturing environment and I feel safe to make mistakes and grow. OMG shooting the short film was amazing and the crew were great and I got to just absorb it all!! P.S the snack table doesn´t hurt.

Thursday became my favorite day of the week because I had this class to look forward to. Not only is it incredibly affordable, but they also feed you! Every. Single. Class. There’s also plenty of parking! I couldn’t be more grateful to have crossed paths with Waymon and Jake. Both made class a safe space for everyone and provided constructive criticism for all of us as actors. There are no more than 10 people to a class, which allows for everyone to work on their craft. Getting able to experience being in a short film and seeing all of the hard work from the crew behind the scenes was such an unforgettable experience. Those 8 weeks flew by and I hope to return very soon! Thank you for everything, Waymon and Jake!

This class is truly a hidden gem! In each class you perform and you get to be directed by a great director, who is a genuine great person. You gain valuable experience on set, you are given insight and tips to help elevate your career, and you film a scene for your reel. The whole entire team at Studio A Acting is amazing. You cannot find a better acting community to plug into. I highly recommend this class to actors who want to take their careers to the next level!

This class was freaking amazing! Director Waymon Boone gave an intensive on camera course where he worked with you directly in front of a class. This class was exactly what I needed as an actor that is growing in my craft. Not to mention they provide food and snacks too, Winning!!!!

I highly recommend Studio A Acting Class!! I was so blessed to have come across it and to become apart of it. I enjoyed EVERY class I had here. As an actor, I definitely believe I have improved directly from this class. It helped a lot that Waymon Boone, who teaches the class, is a working director. The way he teaches is very practical and effective especially since I mostly aspire to do onscreen acting. The first short film I’ve been apart of was the one I did at this school and I absolutely enjoyed it! Also, there’s FREE food every class!! *happy dance*
